About the event
On the 25th of October the world-famous psychotherapist, Esther Perel, will speak about one of the most vital, and simultaneously one of the most overlooked aspects of modern work: relational intelligence. In De Doelen in Rotterdam, she will share her latest insights on how we can improve our relationships with colleagues, customers and other stakeholders. Now that we are in the process of completely transforming the way we work together, this should be a priority for everyone.
As we are returning to our offices, and many organisations are looking into hybrid forms of work, we must gain a better understanding of the nature, the issues, the (in)effectiveness and the joys of our relationships at work. It is time to deliberately think through what they mean to us, what they need from us and what we can do to give them the greatest chance of succeeding. In addition, relational intelligence will only become more vital in the future, as its importance grows when labour is increasingly digital, flexible, short-lived and diverse. The future of companies is, more than ever, dependent on the relationships within.
Moreover, an emotionally intelligent way of dealing with others does not only benefit the productivity, impact, profit and viability of organisations, it also improves your own life. It brings you a greater sense of purpose and helps you find more meaning and fulfilment. But that doesn’t mean it is always easy.
On the 25th of October, the world’s greatest relationship expert, Esther Perel, will help us understand and improve our relationships at work. Her experience from advising many different types of companies (and giving thousands of sessions of relational therapy) is that many relationships at work are not as different from romantic relationships as we might think. In her popular podcast How’s Work she showed the complexity of these relationships by holding and commentating on one-time therapy sessions with co-workers. Just as in our romantic life, we do not only encounter the other, but also ourselves in building meaningful professional relationships: our own patterns, our upbringing, our relational history and our personality. And it is here that we run into the most difficulty. It is also here that there is most chance of growth! Find out how to realise this growth, by joining us at this fantastic interactive event we have been waiting so long for.
