How persuasive are you?

You want to make a point. Bring a colleague on board. Or get others excited about an idea you truly believe in.

But persuasion is not always easy. Especially when power is uneven. When someone dominates the conversation. Or when influence is used carelessly or unfairly. Speaking louder rarely helps. Withdrawing doesn’t either. So what does work?

Persuasion as a skill

Thinkers like Machiavelli and speakers like Obama understand one thing well: persuasion is not about tricks. It is about sensing what is going on. In yourself and in others.

It starts with listening. With noticing emotions, interests, and tensions. And with responding deliberately.

In this training, you develop that skill. You learn what rhetoric is and why it has worked for centuries. You explore how power shapes conversations. And you practise negotiating with more confidence, without losing yourself.

Influence with care and integrity

In one day, you learn how to use influence in an open and respectful way. You strengthen your persuasive abilities. And you discover how your own personality can become a source of influence. Persuasion does not have to be sneaky, manipulative, or forceful. It can be clear, honest and aimed at bringing out the best in yourself and others.

In this training, you explore:

  • How you have used influence so far.
  • How power and moral choices shape conversations.
  • Classical rhetoric and inspiring speakers.
  • Key ideas on power, influence, and responsibility.
  • Your own confidence in persuading others.
  • How to stay close to your needs and goals.
