Book Socials: Meetings of Minds Around Our Books
Every few months, we invite anyone interested in The School of Life to gather in a bookshop (or, sometimes, another congenial venue) for the very best kind of social event: one in which we can discuss ideas, share thoughts and meet new people. At every event, we present one of our book titles (it doesn’t matter at all if you haven’t read it) and we encourage you, the audience, to chat around its theme, guided by questions we’ll provide. This is the perfect chance to have stimulating conversations with like-minded people – and discover life-enhancing and enriching ideas. If you’d like to hear more about future Book Social’s, sign up here.
A Voice of One’s Own – Conversation Evening
To celebrate the publication of A Voice of One’s Own, we’re hosting a different kind of launch event: an evening of guided conversation on the book’s key themes and ideas. Join us at Waterstones Cambridge on the 23rd of August for thoughtful discussions and the chance to meet new friends.
On Divorce – Conversation Evening
Join us to celebrate the publication of On Divorce, as we host an evening of guided conversation at Foyles, Charing Cross with Photographer Harry Borden and a School of Life faculty member to discuss the topic of divorce and explore the book’s key themes.
