Body Therapy

When treating our minds, we should never allow ourselves to forget our bodies – for they are always intimately connected to much of what we are thinking and feeling. As we have come to realise, the body does indeed ‘keep the score.’ Psychological difficulties can lead to headaches, backaches, constipation, insomnia, fatigue or challenges around relaxing in the presence of other bodies whom we want to be close to. Our body therapists will guide you to interpret where you might be having physical trouble and teach you techniques to understand – and then nurture, properly relax and soothe – the body. We recommend sessions with a body therapist as a natural and effective adjunct to psychological work.
