Job Description

As Instructional Learning Designer, you will be responsible for leading the design and development of our library of best practice assets and work in collaboration with the marketing team to design materials to support the marketing calendar. You will also support the Senior Learning Designer with bespoke and tailored client programmes, as well as working cross functionally on tenders, by responding to RFPs and client briefs. Alongside the need for exceptional instructional design skills, your role will require strong cross-departmental collaboration within the team, working with programme management to meet client deadlines and to deliver excellent client service.

Responsibilities:

 

  • Take ownership of developing and enhancing the TSOL core library by creating new workshops, talks, and supporting materials, including high-level designs (HLDs), workshop/talk content, teaching notes, and resources.
  • Lead collaboration with the marketing team to develop and produce content that supports the marketing calendar and business initiatives.
  • Support the design of bespoke client programmes by transforming client briefs into engaging, behaviour-driven learning materials.
  • Contribute to the response process for tenders, RFPs, and client briefs, ensuring the delivery of high-quality, tailored solutions.
  • Work cross-functionally with client service, programme management, sales, and visual design teams to meet client deadlines and exceed expectations.
  • Adhere to and support business systems and processes to drive team growth and efficiency.
  • Engage with our faculty and freelance design pool to provide support, including facilitation briefs and ongoing feedback to enhance performance.
  • Stay informed on industry trends, market conditions, and competitor activities to identify new opportunities and maintain a competitive edge.

  • Participant Satisfaction with high delivery score
  • High client NPS score run quarterly
  • High Faculty NPS score run quarterly
  • Happy and confident internal stakeholders in the Business team and beyond, through smooth running of processes

Experience

2–3 years of experience in instructional design, learning development, or a similar role / Client management and building relationships/ Experience with multimedia tools (e.g., Adobe Creative Suite)

Skills

Skill in designing engaging, learner-centred content for various delivery formats (online, blended, in-person) / Ability to conduct learning needs analysis and identify performance gaps / Ability to collaborate cross-functionally with faculty, clients and other stakeholders / Project management skills: ability to manage timelines, handle multiple projects, and prioritise work

Qualities

Analytical skills to evaluate learning effectiveness and apply feedback / Adaptable to change and new technologies / Highly organised with the ability to handle multiple projects with changing priorities and deadlines / Mission-driven, enjoy working in a team-focused environment, and always seeking ways to improve

Salary

£38,000-£40,000 pa
