One of the pleasures of a good book is the conversations it can lead to: the opportunity to share and reflect on one’s thoughts and perspective with a fellow reader. A Simpler Life is one of The School of Life’s most popular books and this will be an evening of guided conversation about its key themes and ideas.

 
After an introduction from members of The School of Life faculty, attendees will be broken up into smaller groups to discuss the topic of simplifying your life. By answering a series of questions, you’ll be invited to open up about the enduring appeal of a simple existence and how you might achieve greater simplicity in different areas: less complicated friendships and relationships, a less stressful career and a clearer idea of your true thoughts and feelings. You don’t need to have read the book to participate all that’s required is a little courage and curiosity.

Both engaging and illuminating, it’s a chance to meet a wide variety of people and gain a unique insight into what makes them tick. You’ll enjoy the polar opposite of small talk: deeply meaningful conversations about some of life’s most important ideas.
