Job Description

We are looking for a Creative Content Producer with a keen visual eye and a flair for storytelling to join The School of Life. You will be someone who understands both mental health and creativity, and will be responsible for creating regular innovative, compelling, intelligent content for our social media channels, with a particular focus on Instagram, Facebook and TikTok. 

 

You will have a deep appreciation of our tone of voice and our approach to mental wellbeing, and you’ll combine this with your expertise in content production and social media trends to produce viral content in the form of reels, TikTok videos, stories and posts. Through your content, you will take our followers on a compelling brand journey.  Please read about the application process below.

Application Process

As this is a creative role, we invite you to do the following:

 

Read the following two articles  & turn these into:

 

  1. two short film scripts (or actual films) that will work extremely well on TikTok and IG
  2. a post or set of posts that could work on IG as static images.

The Role

 

Content Production
– Ideate and produce memorable and shareable content for our social media channels, using a variety of media (you will be responsible for producing the content but may also work with in-house graphic designers or others to create campaigns where relevant)
– Engage our social media audiences with content that clearly demonstrates how The School of Life and our digital subscription, books and products can support them with their emotional wellbeing
– Experiment with different storytelling methods and media, constantly analysing KPIs and audience feedback to optimise our content strategy and output across social media
– Keep your finger on the pulse for content trends in social media, and draw inspiration from trends that are relevant and appropriate for our brand

 

Social Media Management
– Working closely with marketing team members in digital, press and business, ensure a regular stream of content is published on social media channels that meet company objectives
– Regularly communicate with marketing team members to understand content performance KPIs (likes, engagement, traffic) to help shape future ideas

Qualities

Essential Skills & Experience

Excellent creative ideation skills, and the ability to engage our followers with concise and on-brand content - Experience in producing engaging content for different social media channels, including skills across graphic design, copywriting, videography and photography - Confidence to work autonomously and propose new creative ideas to a variety of stakeholders within the business - Proficiency in video editing software such as Adobe Premiere Pro or similar

The Team

You will work within a small creative team which includes graphic designers and a writer, and have strong working relationships with marketing team members in other departments to ensure the smooth execution of your ideas.
