Book Socials: Meetings of Minds Around Our Books
Every few months, we invite anyone interested in The School of Life to gather in a bookshop (or, sometimes, another congenial venue) for the very best kind of social event: one in which we can discuss ideas, share thoughts and meet new people. At every event, we present one of our book titles (it doesn’t matter at all if you haven’t read it) and we encourage you, the audience, to chat around its theme, guided by questions we’ll provide. This is the perfect chance to have stimulating conversations with like-minded people – and discover life-enhancing and enriching ideas.

Drawing as Therapy In partnership with Cuemars – 22nd May 6:30pm
The School of Life and Cuemars invite you to a drawing evening where the skill being developed has nothing at all to do with drawing ‘well’ and everything to do with psychology. The subject is not a model or a landscape, but the contents of our own minds.
A Simpler Life Book Social in partnership with Everybody Reads – June 12 6:30pm
Join us for an evening of guided conversation about A Simpler Life – one of The School of Life’s most popular books on how you might achieve greater simplicity in relationships, careers and other key areas of our existence.
