Individual

A psychotherapy consultation offers you the chance to explore how past experiences have shaped your emotional landscape and what is currently informing your outlook and opportunities in life. Whether you want to focus on an existing relationship or work situation, discuss experiences from the past, or explore ambitions about your future, this is an essential MOT for the mind.

Our service is run by Professor Brett Kahr, one of Britain’s foremost psychotherapists. Professor Brett Kahr is Senior Clinical Research Fellow in Psychotherapy and Mental Health at the Centre for Child Mental Health in London. He is also a Visiting Clinician and Visiting Lecturer at the Tavistock Centre for Couple Relationships, at the Tavistock Institute of Medical Psychology in London, specialising in work with marital couples. A frequent broadcaster, Brett has been the Resident Psychotherapist for BBC Radio 2, and the Spokesperson for the BBC initiative Life2Live, designed to bring solid mental health advice and information to the general public.

What to expect:

The cost of an individual consultation is £75 for 75 minutes, which you can book online. Professor Brett Kahr will call you within a few days of your booking. After an initial telephone conversation he will refer you to a therapist he considers appropriate to your needs and interests.  An appointment will then be scheduled with them within 1-2 weeks subject to their availability.  If you decide to see one of our psychotherapists for further sessions, they will outline their continuing fee structure after the initial session.  Please note if you need to cancel a session, we require 2 working days notice in order to transfer or refund the booking.
