About This Event
The School of Life invites you to an unusual evening of writing, in which the goal is to discover new bits of yourself in an atmosphere of psychological curiosity and friendship.
Led by one of our US faculty members via Zoom, the evening will feature a range of writing prompts that aim to release new insights into your identity and potential. There are no obligations to sound impressive or coherent; the idea is simply to give the unconscious mind full expression, to open up new avenues into the psyche and to render unconscious content a little more legible.
Participants will be offered a series of writing exercises and prompts: composing letters one never intends to send; describing what makes one unusual; listing all the things that bring one pleasure; recreating the journals of one’s past; and detailing what one would most like to let go of now.
Over the course of the evening, you’ll compose something approaching a prose self-portrait and come away with a wealth of exercises that help you to reconnect with yourself and others. Be sure to check your local time, or refer to the event page for details.
