About This Event
We probably spent years in school, dutifully absorbing lessons on equations, glaciers, the Middle Ages, and foreign language tenses. And yet, when it came to the most essential parts of life, love, trust, self-understanding, grief, and courage, we were left to figure things out on our own.
What They Forgot to Teach You at School is The School of Life’s collection of the emotional lessons that schools routinely overlook. From relationships to careers, childhood wounds to loneliness, it offers practical wisdom with warmth, honesty, and a touch of humour.
In this virtual book club, we’ll explore key ideas from the book, including:
– You Don’t Need Permission – how to live authentically without waiting for approval
– Listen to the Adult Within – learning to trust your own wisdom
– Aim for Emotional Maturity – cultivating resilience and self-understanding
Join us online to read, reflect, and discuss the book that teaches the lessons we all wish we’d learned sooner.
