Events at The School of Life

We invite big thinkers from a broad range of academic and creative disciplines to use their expertise to offer fresh perspective and intelligent ideas on common concerns relating to everyday life.

We run a regular programme of one-off talks where leading writers, economists, historians, philosophers and artists draw on ideas from fields as diverse as literature, the arts, biology, history, psychology and neuroscience, to address the question of how to lead a better life.

During these sessions you can expect to think rigorously through an issue by engaging with new, often surprising, ideas and leave clear about the personal relevance and usefulness of what has been discussed.

Some of our events form series, for example, this term we’ve teamed up with Confer and Psychologies Magazine to invite four leading psychotherapists to address mindfulness, nature, loss and fidelity. All events can be booked individually.
