Be More Entrepreneurial At Work

Entrepreneurship is a major fascination of our times. We often think of entrepreneurs as bold risk-takers with completely original ideas, but we all can benefit from thinking like an entrepreneur: generating new ideas, understanding what customers need, and constantly evaluating the end product to look for improvements.

In this workshop you will become a blue-sky dreamer, a hard-headed pragmatist and a rigorous critic. You'll come up with, and test, new ideas with real-world applications. You’ll cultivate skills for seeing opportunities around you. You’ll engage in critical self-reflection, learning about your strengths and weaknesses. We'll also look at ways of dealing with the things that get in the way of action, not least our misguided ideas about failure.

Even if you don't want to work for yourself, you can still think like an entrepreneur. This workshop is designed for anyone seeking to turn an idea into a finished product or profitable venture; for individuals required to innovate within a larger company, and for employees and leaders wishing to cultivate the skills of self-motivation, creativity and pro-activity.

In this business workshop, we:

- Explore a proven method to generate innovative commercial ideas;
- Learn how to prototype your ideas to test functionality and market potential;
- Learn storytelling techniques to connect emotionally with your audience;
- Consider the benefits and challenges of failure and how to use it as an opportunity for growth;
- Practise using empathy to uncover what our potential customers would really love;
- Learn how to use the insights of entrepreneurship to take our creative work to the next level;
- Consider the role of higher needs in the development of new ideas and products.
