Effectiveness

In order to work through the never-ending to-do list and juggle the multiple demands of others, we have to sort the urgent tasks from the merely important and make a habit of being efficient. A study from the University of California, Irvine found that employees were at their happiest when completing tasks efficiently, with a minimal sense of disruption or unnecessary obstacles. Since workplaces with a greater sense of positivity have been proven to have higher levels of productivity, there is every reason to put a high premium on effective work habits: making sure that assignments run smoothly, and leave those involved feeling energised and enthusiastic.

At The School of Life, we are committed to helping organisations develop a culture of greater emotional intelligence. Our psychology-led approach examines the barriers to efficient working – those unconscious stresses and unwanted distractions which get in our way and slow things down. Our training incorporates strategies to work past those barriers, giving participants specific techniques to avoid procrastination and focus more confidently on the task in hand. We also provide guidance on how to manage your time efficiently, how to design realistic schedules and determine those conditions which best suit your individual style of working.

In this two-hour session, we will:
