Mark Vernon is an author, teacher and journalist, with a wide range of interests focused on the question of how we might live. He co-created The School of Life's Love course and teaches across many of our classes. His books include Love: All That Matters, The Meaning of Friendship, Plato's Podcasts: The Ancient's Guide to Modern Living, and God: All That Matters. Mark writes regularly for the BBC, Guardian and the TLS, and has appeared on BBC Radio 4's In Our Time and BBC Radio 3's Night Waves.
Mark is an honorary research fellow, Birkbeck, University of London and has a PhD from Warwick University in philosophy, degrees in theology from Oxford University and Durham University, and a physics degree from Durham University.
