Designed to follow on from our most popular evening class, this intensive workshop combines insights from the fields of psychotherapy, business and other disciplines to help you embark on an in-depth exploration of how you’ve made your career choices to date, what a meaningful job would look like for you, and what steps you can take to make that job a reality.
The career market is often dominated by Information Technology, and action oriented approaches. This workshop takes an alternative starting point: the processing of our own Work and Life Experience (7,680 hours per year !); also known as our ‘Integral Content’. Although many of us have invested little time cohesively processing this experiential database , it is paradoxically where we can find answers to the most pressing questions such as: ‘Who Am I? What do I want? and What do I Have to Offer?, and consequently where ‘Solid Self Awareness’ begins with understanding of 1. Values, Traits, Interests and Patterns; 2. Skill Sets; 3. Role Required and 4. Our complete Work Experience to date.
We’ll be working closely with your work and life experiences in order to address topics which include:
• The context of a career in 2012
• Self-analysis and examination: increasing need yet decreasing time and structure
• The Integral Process: Creating a Career and Life Based On What Is Integral to You
- Work and Life Experience Analysis
- Values, Traits, Interests and Patterns
- Skills Sets
- Role Required
- The Integral Database
• Applications of the Integral Database: Human and Digital
- Resolving Career Issues
-Interviews, Networking and Job Searching Strategies
- Online content
• Practical Next Steps
A follow up one-to-one session with Gwendolyn Parkin will take place on the afternoon of Sunday 23 June or Wednesday 26 June 2013.
