A very small shop with very big ambitions is the best way to sum up our premises. We sell a careful selection of books and gifts relevant to The School of Life's concerns making it the perfect place to while away an hour finding inspiration. Our stock reflects the variety of sources we look to for ideas so you’ll find a mix of high and low, new and old, predictable and astonishing items changing regularly. 

Our stock is organised in a way which makes it easy for you to buy thoughtful and original gifts. Every item has been carefully selected by our remarkable faculty and we'll help you find just the right present for a friend in need, an exhausted parent or an over-worked colleague.

If you can’t make it into the shop, we’re happy to talk to you over the phone about what you are looking for and post gifts on your behalf.
