Isabelle Grey

Isabelle Grey read Philosophy and English at Cambridge. She writes screenplays, prime-time crime drama and drama-documentary for ITV and BBC1.

 

As Isabelle Anscombe, she is a non-fiction writer, freelance journalist and an authority on 19th and 20th-century decorative arts, having interviewed many leading designers from the Modern Movement onwards.

 

Her books include Omega and After: Bloomsbury & the Decorative Arts, A Woman’s Touch: Women in Design from 1860 to the Present Day and Arts & Crafts Style. She is also author of one of the first books to be written on punk, and of an out-of-print novel better left unread.

 

She is currently Writing Tutor on the MA Screen at Central St Martin’s and an Arvon Foundation tutor.
