Technology is developing exponentially, and at the click of a button we can access an infinite amount of information. With this privilege, comes the potential cost of information overload, increased distractibility and low-grade background anxiety as we try to keep on top of things.

If we wish to remain healthy, happy and effective we need to upgrade our "inner technology" to meet the demands of our increasingly complex world. Science is now revealing that wellbeing is a skill. Just like our bodies, our minds need training to function at their best.

Mindfulness meditation is training for the mind that supports us to be more focused, clear and effective in everyday life. It is being introduced into diverse settings including schools, corporations, hospitals and universities. It’s a powerful tool that can enhance our emotional intelligence and improve our relationships, communication skills, and ability to manage our emotions.

There is now compelling evidence through the work of neurobiology and psychology supporting the fact that mindfulness meditation when practiced regularly can lead to improvement in our physical and emotional wellbeing.

In this three hour workshop Dr Elise Bialylew will present a science-based introduction to mindfulness aimed at busy people who are interested in simple, accessible mindfulness techniques to bring more balance and effectiveness into everyday life.

Through the workshop you will develop a clear understanding of the current cutting edge research around meditation and the brain; an experience of guided mindfulness practices that will support you to connect with deep calm and clarity; an experience of mindful conversations and the understanding of how mindful listening can enhance your relationships; an understanding of how you can integrate short meditation practice into even the busiest day; clear tips on how to bring mindfulness into everyday life that you can takeaway and start implementing; an opportunity to have your meditation questions answered including how to manage the common challenges.


Workshops and Intensives allow more time for an in-depth exploration of the topic through conversation and activities. Our workshops provide an opportunity to work with leading members of our faculty over the course of a highly structured day.



Dr Elise Bialylew is a doctor, coach and meditation teacher who founded Mindful in May, a one month global mindfulness meditation campaign that's inspired thousands of people around the world to learn how to meditate, whilst raising money to build clean water wells in the developing world. Her work has been featured in The Huffington Post and New York Times. She is passionate about using technology to create conscious communities that can make positive change in the world and thrives on making ideas happen. Through her coaching she supports people in reaching their highest creative potential.
