The MOT is designed to help you stop, take stock and consider how aspects of the present which may puzzle or concern you can be looked at and understood. You'll work with an experienced practitioner to see how past events or assumptions impact on now, and by doing so begin to understand yourself more clearly and identify possible areas for future change.
The School of Life’s MOTs are unique consultations which offer a stigma-free approach to therapy. We believe in placing therapy where it needs to be, right in the heart of our everyday lives, and that consulting a psychotherapist should be as accessible and as normal as going to the dentist or optician.
We do not endorse any particular form of therapy. However, since it is a widely held view that it is the quality of the relationship between therapist and client which is the principal factor in a successful therapeutic outcome, finding the right match is very important. Our service connects individuals to therapists we know and recommend, all of whom are registered with professional bodies and who have wide-ranging experience. We believe that exploring ourselves in this way is a useful and illuminating tool in maximising our own potential and becoming the best we can be.
