High Tech At Bistrotheque: DIY Speakers
This workshop was not about the latest ipod and definitely not about how spotify is just plain awesome.
This was a get-your-hands-dirty-with-analog-electronics-day! Participants learnt about the flow of electronics and the incredible results that can be achieved by bending them to your will.
Resistors, capacitors, and a plethora of other interesting electronic components were utilised to create your own speakers from any surface. Through the process, the group learnt what the little bits and bobs that make up our digitally driven world actually do.
It was a day mixing inspirational examples in the world using creative technology as well as lots of practical applications.

Bethany Koby is a designer, art director and artist creating brands, businesses and experiences to help imagine a positive and more collaborative future.
