Tom Hodgkinson

 

Tom Hodgkinson is a writer and editor of The Idler, a bi-annual magazine which campaigns against the work ethic, which he established in 1993 with his friend Gavin Pretor-Pinney. He is author of How To Be Idle (2005), How To Be Free (2006) and most recently an unlikely parenting manual, The Idle Parent (2009). He has also contributed regular articles to The Sunday Telegraph, The Guardian and The Sunday Times.

In 2006 Hodgkinson created National Unawareness Day to be celebrated on 1 November.
