Mark Vernon

 

Mark Vernon is an author, teacher and journalist, with a wide range of interests focused on the question of how we should live. He co-created The School of Life's Love course and teaches this and other courses for us. His books include The Philosophy of Friendship, Wellbeing - part of The Art of Living series that he edits, and After Atheism: Science, Religion and the Meaning of Life. Mark writes regularly for the Guardian and the TLS, and has appeared on BBC Radio 4's In Our Time, BBC Radio 3's Night Waves and BBC Radio 2's Chris Evans show as the 'drive-time philosopher'.
 
Mark has a PhD from Warwick University in philosophy, degrees in theology from Oxford University and Durham University, and a physics degree from Durham University. He is a keen blogger, and is listed in the Sunday Times Top 100 blogs. See more at his website: www.markvernon.com.
